My Goal

Running,
Like I’ve said before- running is a love/hate relationship. However, there is this moment after running consecutively for several days that it finally kicks in- that runner’s high, ah, I remember it well. Back when I was logging in 13 miles a day, I craved the pavement underneath my feet. I remember being in class and looking at the clock thinking “the moment we are out, I’m eating my banana (I still suffer from terrible calf cramps), I’ll walk to my car and in about 20 minutes I’ll be on the boardwalk running”. It didn’t matter how hot it was, if it was raining, or if it was windy, I ran. So it’s very frustrating that I”m here at 10pm at night typing away trying to stretch my foot that is giving me the mild throbbing pain right under my arch. I HATE IT!!!!
For the last two weeks I”ve been able to log a 5k every other day. My goal, by the end of July, is it to log two 5K’s per day. If that happens by the deadline of July 9th  and the pain is the same or better, I’m  running the Tinkerbell half in January 2014. It’s not going to be about the time, it’s going to be about the finish. That’s my goal. So while I go ice this bad boy, what’s your goal? It doesn’t have to be crazy, it just needs to be attainable. Something do-able. What’s going to motivate you? I know what’s going to motivate me... more details to come about that.

Hit the ground running.
